If you have ever been in that place in your musical studies where you have tangled yourself in knots heading so far down the rabbit hole of theory and practise that you cannot see the wood for the trees, this is the book for you... Its like having a friendly mentor who reminds you to breathe, play the melody, listen to music, work on your weaknesses, listen to other musicians, enjoy the conversation, its packed with the tips on what it is to be a good musician... This is the perfect book for keeping in your gig bag and flipping open a random page before playing to get in the right frame of mind... The only misleading thing about the book is the title, its not 'just' for keyboardists, its for anyone who aspires to play the song in their hearts ..

Firstly, don't let the title fool you. There are many tips for musicians of any instrument so don't be afraid to pick up a copy even if you aren't a keyboardist. Further, they can be applied in contexts even outside of music so there is something for everyone. An excellent collection of common sense tips that every musician should be aware of. Some concepts you may not have heard before, some may have been forgotten, some might make you pause and contemplate...
